We know that before this exam was conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development also called MHRD, which is now known as the Ministry of Education (MoE), under the guidelines of the Government of India (GOI) established the National Testing Agency (NTA) which is an independent, autonomous and self-sustained reputed testing organization for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard exams in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions of India.
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST is the full form of NEET which is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency also called NTA in Pen and Paper mode in 13 languages, as a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India. The languages in which the NEET (UG) is conducted every year are as follows: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
As per the data of the previous year, it shows that over 18.72 lakh candidates have registered for NEET UG, out of which over 10.64 lacks were women and 8.07 lakh were men, so it shows that women are more interested in this given course. It is very important to fill correct details in the NEET to avoid trouble later in the admission process and also during the exam. The NEET application form will be considered successfully submitted only after the submission of the fee, which is different for each category. MBBS Eligibility
Applicants who see themselves as future doctors must meet the eligibility requirements which are mandatory for a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or MBBS degree. Candidates also should be aware of the basic requirements needed for pursuing a bachelor’s degree in medicine and a bachelor’s degree in surgery, including the course understanding as it will help them to easily crack the exam. These are the very important eligibility requirements that the students must follow to obtain MBBS admission:
- The minimum marks criteria may differ, although, in the intermediate test, general applicants should have scored at least 50 percent marks.
- The minimum age which is required to appear is 17 years to register for the MBBS NEET exam.
- Applicants will have to pass the medical entrance exam as per the cut-off which is needed for MBBS admission.
- Aspirants should have done at least 12th class with mandatory subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- The minimum percentage required to appear for the exam for eligible candidates for the reserved category is 40 percent.
